Who is responsible
BOB is an AI assistant operated by RichLab (RICHLABONLINE, South Africa). RichLab is the responsible party for information collected here under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect, and only if you choose to give it
- Your first name, how you'd like to be contacted (WhatsApp, phone call or email), and that number or email address.
- What you're interested in (start something, grow a business or learn skills) and a short summary of any question you ask.
- The time you gave permission, and which version of the permission wording you agreed to.
- Which advert or link brought you here (campaign tags), so we know which ads work.
You can talk to BOB without giving any details. Nothing personal is saved unless you tick the permission box.
Voice calls
When you talk to BOB, your voice is sent live to service providers that turn speech into text (Deepgram), work out a reply (Anthropic) and turn the reply into speech (ElevenLabs), connected through LiveKit. These providers may process data outside South Africa. We don't save recordings or full transcripts of calls. We keep only the call's start and end time, and a short summary of a question you want the team to answer.
Why we use it
Only to contact you about the free live FJU information session and to answer your question. The permission you give is: “Yes, RichLab and the FJU information-session team (Claudette) may contact me the way I chose about the free live information session and my question. I can ask for my details to be deleted at any time.”
If BOB is busy and you ask us to tell you when he's free, we also use the contact details you gave to send you that message.
Who sees it
RichLab staff and the FJU information-session team (Claudette). We don't sell your details. We don't use them for any other marketing without asking you again.
How long we keep it
Contact details are deleted automatically after 180 days. Call records are deleted after 30 days. Anonymous visit counts (no names, numbers or IP addresses) are kept for reporting.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw permission, at any time: [privacy contact to be confirmed]. Quote your BOB reference if you have it. You can also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
